We're excited to announce that Season 2: Risk and Reward will conclude on December 25th, 2025.
Season 2 has been a transformative chapter for Spellborne. It laid the foundations for a more robust PvP system, introduced deeper economic mechanics, and expanded the ways players can participate in and shape the Spellborne universe. As the season comes to an end, we want to clarify how rewards will be distributed to our most active and engaged players.

TL;DR
- Season 2 ends December 25th, 2025
- 15 million $BORNE tokens (5% of total supply) will be distributed to players
- Rewards go to the top 5,000 players on the leaderboards
- A new Reputation Score system affects how much each player receives
- Tokens will vest over 6 months, with early in-game utility access
Reward Distribution
Season 2 rewards a total of 15 million $BORNE tokens, equivalent to 5% of the total token supply, to the top 5,000 players on the seasonal leaderboards.
Your final allocation from this reward pool will be determined by two key factors:
- Your final ranking across gameplay, store, and creator point pools
- Your Reputation Score (explained in detail below)
Higher rankings and higher Reputation Scores both lead to a larger share of the Season 2 rewards.
Vesting Period
All Season 2 rewards will be vested over a 6-month period. This structure is designed to align long-term incentives between players and the Spellborne ecosystem, and to reduce short-term volatility.
However, your vested tokens are not just “locked away”. During the vesting period, players will still be able to use their locked rewards for specific in-game purchases, including:
- Summoner Tickets
- Gold Nugget packs
This means you can continue progressing your account and participating in the economy, even while your tokens unlock gradually over time.
Introducing Reputation Score
Reputation Score is a new variable designed to reward players who actively participate in and support the Spellborne economy, while discouraging purely extractive behavior.
Your Reputation Score is separate from account health and directly influences how much you receive from the Season 2 reward pool. Two players with similar rankings may receive different rewards depending on their Reputation Scores.
Reputation Score will be affecting other reward distributions in future such as guild wars, tournaments, limits on selling in bazaar and more.
How Reputation Score Works
Actions that increase Reputation Score
The following activities signal positive participation in the economy and will increase your Reputation Score:
- Purchasing from the Bazaar (item marketplace)
- Purchasing from the Monster Marketplace
- Minting monsters on-chain
- Purchasing a Stellar Pass
- Purchasing Summoner Tickets
- Other in-game economic activity such as guild fees, tournament entries, and similar systems
- Holding $BORNE tokens (small, gradual increase)
Actions that decrease Reputation Score
The main action that reduces Reputation Score is:
- Selling $BORNE tokens
This does not mean you can never sell, but players who consistently support the economy will rank higher in Reputation than those who only extract value.
Why Reputation Score Matters
Players who actively contribute to the in-game and on-chain economy—by trading, minting, purchasing passes, entering tournaments, and holding tokens—will receive significantly higher rewards from the Season 2 pool.
Conversely, players who only extract value without contributing back may receive reduced rewards or even become ineligible, regardless of their leaderboard ranking.
This system ensures that Season 2 rewards go to those who genuinely help grow and sustain the Spellborne community.
Final Rankings Close December 25th
All gameplay points, store points, and creator points will be finalized on December 25th, 2025. Once the season ends, rankings will be locked, Reputation Scores evaluated, and the reward pool allocated.
Make sure to:
- Play PvP and climb the leagues
- Engage with the Bazaar and Monster Marketplace
- Participate in events and tournaments
- Maintain a healthy Reputation Score
Every action you take before the deadline will influence your final rewards.
What's Next?
Season 2 has laid the groundwork for a truly player-owned economy in Spellborne. As we move beyond seasonal structures into the next phase—often referred to internally as Open Play—rewards will shift further toward direct economic participation.
In Open Play, players will be able to:
- Earn $BORNE tokens through trading in the Bazaar and Monster Marketplace
- Win rewards from PvP chests in competitive leagues
- Compete in tournaments with meaningful stakes and prizes
This marks the beginning of a fully player-driven economy, where skill, strategy, and market knowledge directly impact your success.
Thank you to everyone who helped make Season 2 an incredible milestone. Your feedback, creativity, and dedication continue to shape the future of Spellborne.
We cannot wait to share what comes next.
